Privacy Policy

Last updated July 27, 2026

PlanCurrent ("we," "us") is account-planning software for teams that sell to K-12 school districts, available at plancurrent.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: ian@plancurrent.com.

What we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, organization, and role, created when you redeem an invite or are added by your organization's administrator.

Content you add. Account plans and everything in them: district facts, goals, placements, notes, follow-ups, and the names, titles, and professional contact details of district personnel your team works with. This content belongs to your organization.

Service and usage records. Sign-in sessions, and metering for AI features (which model ran, token counts, and cost) so your organization's administrators can govern usage. Our infrastructure providers keep standard operational logs (such as IP addresses and timestamps) to run and secure the service.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information. Ever.

AI research

When someone on your team clicks a research action, we send the district's name and state — along with your organization's description of what it sells — to Anthropic (the maker of the Claude models), which searches the public web and returns cited findings. Those findings are stored in your organization's workspace like any other plan content. Anthropic does not use data sent through its API to train its models. AI features can be disabled or limited at any time by your organization's administrators.

Google Calendar (optional)

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the connection is authorized by you in your browser and is limited to the narrowest scope that works: creating and managing calendar events. What we do with it:

PlanCurrent's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect PlanCurrent at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Students and children

PlanCurrent is a business tool for vendor sales teams. It is not designed to collect or store student records or any student personal information, and customers should not enter them. The service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Where your data lives

We use a small set of infrastructure providers ("subprocessors") to run the service:

Security

Every organization's data is isolated with database-level access rules (row-level security), so users see only their own organization's workspace, under permissions its administrators control. All traffic is encrypted in transit. If you believe you've found a security issue, please email ian@plancurrent.com — we read those first.

Retention and deletion

Your content stays in your workspace while your organization uses PlanCurrent. Administrators and editors can delete plans at any time; deleted content leaves backups as they cycle out. To delete an account or an entire organization's data, email ian@plancurrent.com and we'll complete it promptly and confirm.

Your choices and rights

You can access and edit your content in the app at any time. For a copy of your data, corrections, or deletion — or any privacy question — contact ian@plancurrent.com. We honor applicable data-protection rights, including those under state privacy laws.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be called out to organization administrators.
